Hattvika
There has been fishing and fishing industry in Hattvika for a very long time . We who run the place are concerned with the history and potential of natural resources ; Mountain and Sea. With this in mind , we want to promote activities in the mountains and at sea . Rental Hattvika Lodge is a new offer for holidaymakers and corporate businesses who want real and poignant experiences ! In the old days abounded location Hattvika Lodge is on fish and fish production. On the site of the main house , there were 100 -odd fish drying racks and fishermen lived in fishermen cottages that surround Hattvika Lodge . It is in this environment we want our guests to experience .

The fishing village Ballstadlandet is a small village with just over 700 inhabitants, situated at the southern tip of Vestvågøy , utterly out over the fjord . The name Ballstad comes probably from the Old norwegian male name Baldrekr . The fishing village nestles at the inner end of Lofoten , sheltered from the ocean by large and small islands.
 

Lofoten and Ballstad

Highway 818 connects with Ballstad Lofotveien ( E10) . Ballstadheia is a mountain with a good view and easy to mount with Nonstind as the highest point at 459 m. Skottind can also be reached on foot and is Ballstads highest point 671 m. Ballstad is located approximately 11 km from the municipal center Leknes , which has 2,661 inhabitants, and Ballstad is located in Vestvågøy , which has 10,674 inhabitants. Ballstad have good and capacious harbor , divided into three main areas: Hattvika , for smaller boats ; the main port between Ballstadøya and Ballstadlandet ; and Kræmmervika , which , however, is too shallow for large vessels , but that is the very best protected harbor . The sun over the horizon and the possibility of midnight on Ballstad from sunrise to sunset on May 26, July 18. Latest sunrise until dark season is December 8 and the first sunrise after dark season is January 4th
